Due to the specialist nature of this role, it is essential that you are already trained, competent and have direct experience of using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS) to identify property conditions and risks and have working knowledge of relevant legislation covering private sector tenancies, including the Renters Rights Act. Accommodation Services oversees the day to day management of all corporate accommodation and provides a comprehensive cleaning and caretaking service to over 230 sites, including schools, offices, public conveniences and other public buildings throughout the East Riding of Yorkshire. The department ensures all sites are open, clean and fit for occupation on a daily basis.

We are looking to recruit to the role of caretaker based at Eastgate, Goole, however there mabe a requirement to carry out duties across other sites if needed.

The crossing times are 08:10 - 09:00 and 15:00 - 15:50, Monday to Friday, during term time.

Duties include:

• Help pedestrians cross the road safely on school routes.
• Provide a safe walking environment that encourages children to walk to school.

Although basic knowledge of the highway code is desirable, full training and equipment will be provided, making this an ideal opportunity for someone with customer service skills or experience working with or caring for children.
